New York Bartending School

I had never bartended and was really intimidated in the beginning but Brian pushed me and I made it! His sense of humor and knowledge kept me going. Anyone who thinks they can't do it should try and I'll bet you'll be surprised at yourself!

I had so much fun with this course! Bryan was an awesome teacher! Great vibes! I feel confident going into a new bartending job! 10/10 for me!

This class was more than just fun. Bryan is the best tutor you can imagine. His funny personality and vide knowledge about cocktails and alcohol is just the perfect combination. Even when everything can be a bit overwhelming the first day (I had no clue about anything), you get used to it. Most of the class successfully passed the exam already on Thursday instead of Friday due to the long practice time and great explanations.

I definitely do not want to leave the school, so I highly recommend this course. If you want to get your certificate in bartending, do it here, you will not be disappointed! Thanks again for this awesome experience

This class is worth every penny. Bryan is simply the best human being ever and many of us didn't want to leave on the last day. It's a great environment, clean, organized and cozy. Students have their own station with every item you can possibly need. You get to learn so much and have the opportunity to develop a lot of skills. The main bar is so gorgeous and classic. It was a great experience. Highly recommended.

Hands down I had the most fun here than taking any other classes. Bryan is super knowledgeable and witty, keeps it exciting as we go through pages of recipes. Added bonus are his specialty cocktails at the end of each class, which the students make. I highly recommend taking this class.

This is the essential bartending school. I went in knowing little to nothing about bars or bartending and left in an immediate position to start working. The instructor I had was super friendly and hilarious. The whole experience was perfect. I hope to uphold the school's reputation when I start bartending!

New York Bartending School is one of the greatest learning experiences in my life. Bryan is an excellent instructor who is as comedic as he is knowledgeable. Please make flash cards to memorize the class work content and practice as much on your own time to create a collaborative learning effort. The instructor allows you to work with your preferred music so that you get the genuine bar feel.

Practice bar consist of real bottles filled with water and dyes so that it is the practical equivalent of a bar. Great school and if you have restaurant experience the movements are rather similar. Highly recommend, great school with a patient instructor who is fun to be around.

Just completed my bartender certification here. Had tons of fun! Would definitely recommend to anyone who's interested in learning more about mixology. The instructor was hilarious and the bar setting was really cool!

NYC batending school is probably the best thing that ever happened to the world of bartending. Bryan, Michele and all the other bartenders are the greatest people I've ever met. I'm from upstate ny just retired and always wanted to bartend every one said I had the personality for it. So I looked into classes around my area a lot of money but not much hands on learning. Found the nyc bartending school on line and decided if you want to learn from the best this is the place. I have no regrets commuting every day by train because what Bryan and Mike give you is in in devoted attention and detail in the real bar world. Great teachers make a great experience.

Very helpful, a lot of fun, teachers are very nice. You are always welcomed to come back and practice. But! It's pretty hard to get a job. You have to consider that you won't get your first job right away. You also have to study a lot by your own. You should also keep in mind that you have to spend some $$$ and time on tips certification, food handling permit (not required, but recommended), black outfit, you also have to spend some money on printing out your resume and resume paper (it's not that much, but for a student like me every dollars counts) and yeah it's better to get an unlimited metrocard because you are gonna have a lot of interviews!

I love this school. But you have to understand that you have to work hard to become a good bartender, it's better to buy some books about wine/beer/liquor/mixology, follow bartenders on YouTube and study. This school is great, but 2 weeks is not enough to learn everything! Btw books by death&co are very recommended! Good luck!

If you're looking for a bartending class to get your feet wet or just have fun this is an amazing place to do it. The deal is great and the instructor Bryan is such an awesome guy. He's funny, knowledgeable, and very generous. Hes always willing to answer questions and give you advice. The class itself is great. You go through a bunch of lessons that involve hands on drills and multiple seminars relating to wine and whiskey and all relating info. So if you are looking for a school this place is 100% your go to spot!

Took a bunch of clients here for a mixology outing. They let you rent their back room/private bar area. I HIGHLY recommend this place. They have reasonable prices for everything, they let you cater in food, the staff is beyond friendly, and it is a great room/environment. I think this is a great spot for entertaining and will definitely be going back to see Bryan and his staff!

I traveled from Chicago to come here just for the bartending course. Lot of my friends took this course here and highly recommended. i had such a blast of learning how to make all the cocktails popular drinks, wine, beer and many more. The course not only help me be confident on working behind the bar but also i gain so much knowledge on Whiskey, volka and many more.

My experience at NYBS was phenomenal! The training team I had, Alex & Brian, we're so nice, knowledgeable, and welcoming. This school deserves every star! I was impressed by the knowledge of the director as well as his humor. All of the teachers made the two weeks I was there an enjoyable experience. Once thing that stood out for me was the amount of former students, most of which are employed. There's always time to help or ask questions. And we're very welcoming when I went back to practice as well as ask questions and advice. There's also the ability to train at bars in Manhattan! Definitely worth every penny and then some!

BEST choice for those who love to learn. Everyone has their own learning curves, the classes and style are manageable to your time and progression. as long you put in the work. I highly suggest the Bartending/Mixology Course. I took the 10-Day nights. There was always something new to learn. Eventually, you will figure out what type of style you want to do more if you ever become part of the industry. I had Bryan as my instructor. Great lad! Friendly, Knowledgeable, and one of the people you need to meet in this city. In short, "Worth it!"

Highly recommend the Mixology course! I took the full day package because there are so many benefits. You get unlimited practice and retakes for the exam. You can take a refresher course for free. You also get access to a job listing site once you graduate. I didn't have any experience bartending and I feel like Course really taught me so much. Also, you get to taste all kinds of spirits, liqueurs, wines, and beers during the seminars! Brian and Alex are really great teachers. Definitely don't regret paying for this course.

NY Bartending school, as the name indicates, is a bar and a bar tending school. I came here with my coworkers for a team building event. It started off with provided finger foods such as cheese, grapes, and crackers with a glass of wine. Then we choose 3 drinks to make. All the material is provided and the instructors demonstrate how to craft the drink.

The great part is that there isn't any limit on how you want to make it. So you can make it extra strong : I think my favorite drink to make was the Negroni, as the instructor taught us several ways to make it. Overall a great experience! Left very happy and tipsy.

Took this class on the weekends and it was a great experience! Learned a lot of different drinks and hot certified in 2 weeks! The instructor was amazing and made the classes super fun! Best bartending school in NY and NJ. They know what they are doing and are willing to teach you until you understand. Alex will teach you top to bottom. I recommend you take mixology.

Wooo hooo I passed! This school is awesome! Everyone is really helpful and really nice. I took the one week course ($395) and I passed my written exam and my speed test in one week! 14 drinks in under 6 mins sounds crazy but trust me it's not! They give u so much time to practice and the instructors are always giving you tips and how to do things better. I definitely recommend this school if your looking to get some proper bartending training. Definitely going to come back to get my mixology certificate too! Love you guys!
