ASSET STAFFING IN NY IS THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL AGENCY I HAVE SPOKEN WITH, STAY AWAY! Their employee, James Byrnes, hung up on me and no supervisor called me back. He reaches out to me and wants information from me without informing me about the job to find out if I even want to commute there. Ridiculous, I made it a point to write a review and keep professionals away. This person should be suspended if not fired.

I received an email from Brittany Rivera for a Facetime or Skype interview for an office position in Dallas and never heard back. I sent her a followup email to confirm the interview time/date and got no response. Very unprofessional, a total scam. There are people out here genuinely looking for a job even for lower pay than they deserve, this should be illegal.

Nina helped me get a very good permanent position at a law firm for a higher salary than I had been working at. Beyond that, she has continually checked in with me, taken a real interest in how things are going for me personally as well as professionally and assured me that her door is always open if I need to make a change. I have dealt with many recruiters over the years and Nina at Asset has been one of the best.

Please do not bother going here. this agency is a complete waste of your time and energy. The person who interviewed me ( I won't take her name ) looked like she was bored and tired of her job to being with. She gave me the usual, call me in one week to follow up and disappeared. Every time I call, her assistant tells me she is on a client call? Also, the place itself is a dump! Yes, It's so gross when you walk in - the carpets are disgusting, it literally reeks! What's the word. UNPROFESSIONAL!

I have to say, although I was a little skeptical about working with an agency, my experience was nothing short of amazing! Robert is a rockstar. He helped find and place me in a position that was related to my experience which is soooo difficult to find especially if you're looking to go the non-retail route. Thank you Robert! You are AMAZING at what you do!

I got hired here, with no proof stating I was hired no new hire employment or anything. despite all the bad reviews I still wanted to give this position an opportunity because Nina and Robert was far too kind. However, it is not a good job site to work at. Yes this is a financing company Yes They help you get a job But there was many compliants about the jobs people were being sent to, They aren't great with communication, IT IS ONLY A TEMP AGENCY AND YOU ARE NOT GAURENTEE A JOB POSITION.
They keep your profile attach for months and rarely even call you back. If you are looking for a set salary base, and a long term position This is not the place for you. They randomly texted me one day, stating my temp services is no longer needed after I was already on my way to work. We deserve way more in a work field So if you know your worth and want to be treated fairly Don't work for this company

What a complete waste of what was supposed to be a promising job opportunity. The recruiter, who was dressed in jeans and a hoodie simply took my resume and reviewed it asking me to include my Microsoft Office skills. Nothing that could not have been accomplished over the phone instead of commuting from NJ for an advertised job of $20-$25/hr for admin work in Manhattan that was "no longer available".
This person, Brittany Rivera never replied to my follow up emails, neve called for further job opportunities and is misleading potentially good candidates for jobs that do not exist. Proceed at your own risk.

This place is a scam, do not waste your time. I want a job just as much as the next person but you will not find it there! I interviewed with Nina Seigal and she seemed so helpful and hopeful about getting me a job she said I had plenty experience and she should have something within the week, but of course that was a lie I herd nothing and when I reached out to her she said she did not have anything. I have reached out to her 3 times since, always professional and it never fails she has nothing. Waste of your time don't go! Cancel that interview

I only gave one star because i can't give it a 0 star. Two words summarizes my experience with this agency, rude and unprofessional. They called me in for a "interview", Robert asked me "what am i looking for?" and my past experiences. I told him my answers, he said "o, we don't have any of those jobs right now". During the whole conversation, he was not looking at my nor was he facing me.
The "interview" lasted for about 7 or 8 minutes and he rushes me out. It seems like he wasn't interested in speaking to me at all. Overall, i would not recommend anyone to this agency.

This place is a scam. If someone is writing a good review is because they probably work there. I came and interviewed with Yolanda in December 2015. Since then, I never heard back from her. She had the audacity to lie to me and say that I'm a great fit for her role and I will hear back from her by the end of the week. Despite numerous emails and phone calls (apparently she's never in the office -_-) she never got back to me.
Thank God I found a lucrative job on my own. If they are a professional financial staffing agency, why aren't any of them professionally dressed? Staffing agencies are a total waste of time regardless of your skills and experience.

I am giving this a 2 1/2 stars. Office looked like I walked straight into a cubical. The Greeter was unaware or surprised to see me. My interviewer said he had a position in Chase Bank for me in the salary range of 60k and had me fill out paper work. After the interview we contacted each other back and forth via email and finally on the phone he said he has a position for $18hr working the front desk. These agencies talk a good game and get you chump change.

While there two people quit and Iwas fired. For I don't know what. Stay far far far away from them. I was a recruiter there and they literally killed the determination in me. This is a cut throught company. Even if you have a great resume they will think about you the first week and forget you ever excisted the next.

No complaints here. I noticed most of the people complaining are those that weren't placed. While this is a staffing agency and its job is to place candidates, its job is to place the right' candidate & not just anyone as their primary clients are the companies with the job openings. If your credentials don't match the openings and they try to place you, they would be doing you as well as the company they are attempting to place for a disservice. Also, keep in mind a staffing agency's role is to find companies (their primary client) candidates that meet or exceeds their job requirements.
I can speak from experience and attest to the fact that they do deal with bulge bracket firms and do a good job at placing people within roles that fit their background and experience. Last but not least many staffing firms will do preliminary screenings even if they don't have any openings that match your background so that when something does come in that matches your profile they can send you directly to their client (the company with the opening).

I went here earlier this month to apply for a job. I filled out the application, answered the questions about my level of excel, etc. The woman interviewing me looked like she couldn't care less about her job, which made me feel like I might have wasted my time and I was right. Two weeks after going, I heard absolutely nothing from them. I called in to check the status of my application and the receptionist tells me that the woman who interviewed me doesn't even work there anymore! So, I'm like okay.
Then the receptionist says she'll pass me on to another recruiter. Still nothing. Nobody has time to waste like this. All I have to say is, give me my metro card money back. If this agency is standing east, you'd be better start walking west.

They had me make the trip to speak with them in person. I spoke with Yolanda Williams. She made it seem like they had an overwhelming amount of jobs coming in and she told me to get back to her later in the week for possible placement/interview. I emailed her later in the week. Nothing. I sent two follow up emails, they were ignored. What a waste of time. Completely unprofessional outfit. The least they could do is acknowledge my inquiries.

Unfortunately what I thought was a good experience with Asset and Yolanda, never really talked to Jim the few times I did he was rude and made me feel like he was doing me a favor. After 3 years of being a temp thru Asset at a major firm on Wall Street my assignment ended on 12/31. Yolanda assured me it was out of their control my assignment ended 1 week before New Years and how she will make it her priority to help me, well it's been 5 months and nothing called several times she is always in a meeting and has called me back 2x always nice but still promise not kept.
After 3 years of earning commission off you they should be more considerate. Like all companies your customer or clients are the bases for company growth but to Asset you are just a number.

GREAT AGENCY!Disregard, negative posts, had a great experience with Asset staffing. Was met with Jim Byrne he was amazing and immediately sent me out on interview. And Yolanda was also helpful in the follow up and through all the particulars. This is a professional Staffing Team, who will place with you with a reputable company. I went in, on a Monday and was placed by the next Friday. If you've got skills, they can get you out there.

I had the same experience at Asset Staffing as most of the reviews describe. The initial paperwork turned out to be a complete waste of time. I went in to Yolanda and though she was very nice and kind, she did absolutely nothing for me. She got me really excited about a position, gave me a lot of information about it and even made me feel like I actually had a chance (I'm looking to switch careers so the search has been a bit difficult for me).
She said she would call but she didn't. I emailed her but she didn't respond back. I called her but her assistant always claimed that she was in a meeting and that she would call me back (but she never did). After a while, I got the picture and eventually just gave up. I just wish she would have told me right off the bat that she couldn't do anything for me.
At least then, I wouldn't have wasted my time. Maybe for someone who isn't looking to switch careers it might be easier, but apparently, my master's degree wasn't good enough to get me a job fetching coffee.

To update - Jim eventually was my "case worker", and he would call now and again with jobs. I always said yes - but none came to fruition. I was eventually offered one temp job (after a rush request for an interview), but it happened to come during the same week as a permanent full time job was offered. I was sorry to have to turn it down and lose Jim's commission but it's a guaranteed full time job.

Absolutely agree with the 2 reviewers below this post. Stephanie Ruiz tells me about a position, and I ask her to apply to it for me. She says she'll do so and will email me the job description. A few days later, no job description in my inbox. When I call her, she flounders a bit and then tells me weakly that she applied to that job (clearly, she has no idea what I'm talking about).
I understand that things can fall through cracks: but this happened with her 3x. Waste of my time. She asked me to call back every two days for over a month before I stopped calling her. Pretty convinced she recycles the same few jobs over and over.

I have been temping with this agency for over a year. They work quickly. I was offered an interview with a Financial Bank on Wall Street within 2 weeks of my interview at Asset. After finishing that assignment I was offered a position at an insurance company 3 weeks later. NINA AND YOLANDA make sure to keep in contact with me to see how the assignment is doing and are very kind.
They don't treat people like another name on a list. They have great memory and they encourage you to do your own thing as well when it comes to finding work. They are also listed as one of my references for jobs because they know me just as much as any other employer would. I love this place. I would recommend this place to any friend looking for work.

These people suck. They keep dicking my boyfriend around for a job and never follow through. Recently. they told him a company had a hiring date set for him, and then kept changing it. He turned down other work because of this. They kept him at bay for nearly 2 weeks, with excuses, before they said "Oops, so sorry! We made a mistake!" He wound up losing 2 weeks of unemployment benefits because of it as well because he was scheduled to go down for a meeting with them, but thought he was getting the job and didn't need to. They are unprofessional, don't care about their potential staff at all and are only in it for what I don't know. Stay away!

This place seemed really sketchy when I went to interview. They require you to fill out some stupid test thing (spelling, basic math) instead of just having you put SAT/GMAT scores. It was a little insulting because some of the questions on there were ridiculously simple. It looked like they were trying to have as many people as possible come into their office and "interview" which meant speaking to someone for 3 minutes. they put my resume through to a couple places but still no luck I guess.
Most of their opportunities are temporary, and I highly doubt they place many people into permanent roles judging by how they conduct business. wouldnt waste my time again to be quite honest.

So far, so good since my interview this morning with Asset Financial Staffing. I'm surprised about the other two reviews of the company, but maybe they've stepped up their game since their interactions. I went in at 10AM, there were 3 men there also interviewing. I filled out an extensive application, including basic word choice, spelling, and math questions.
I had my interview with Yolanda, who was very nice and extremely helpful. She called me already on my way home from the city with an interview for me on Monday. I will be sure to update once I have more interactions with the agency, but so far I am very happy with the results.
