It felt like everything was thrown to the wind. I began to lose hope of finding a job as companies started to withdraw openings and adjust to the new reality. It was then that Hired swooped in and helped me stay focused. Ishmam met virtually with his employment counselor, who coached him to keep his job search going. She encouraged himto continue reaching out and making connections despite the pandemic. Whether providing financial or emotional support, the Dislocated Worker Team at Hired checked in with Ishmam often.

Our work centers on one thing: helping people prepare for and secure good jobs that can sustain a family. Regardless of the program, we provide three key services to support individuals in their pursuit of a stable career.
At Hired, we support our participants in discovering their strengths. This means knowing what resources are available and how best to use them. Discovering the whole person. Connecting them with the right training. We support people building sustainable careers that support not only our participants, but their families, employers and communities as well.
We provide coaching, support, and training to help youth and young adults complete a diploma or GED, explore careers, and gain employment in a field they're passionate about. When you participate in Hired youth programs, you're laying a foundation for the rest of your life. Support for high school or GED completion, followed by post-secondary exploration, planning and enrollment.
Hired provides professional career guidance, training assistance, and job placement services to individuals seeking the next step in their career. As a participant of Hired, you have access to a full range of services to help you land your next job. Your employment coach will talk with you about your goals and plans and help you access what you need.
