I am basing this review on my 16+ years of experience working alongside Fogarty, Knapp & Associates, first as an applicant and then as an employer. As an applicant, the team at Fogarty, Knapp & Associates treated me with respect and took a genuine interest in what I was looking for in a role and have continued to be a constant source of wisdom. As an employer, they have gone above and beyond to find the right applicants for our company. Heather and the entire team are the embodiment of professionalism, creativity, resourcefulness and compassion.

They don't return phone calls and, worse, they advertise jobs that they don't actually have now. They build a pile of resumes so that when a job comes their way, they can reach out to those they've collected resume's from. Don't waste your time, folks. They jobs they post do not exist!

I submitted my resume for a position. NEVER even emailed me back with ANY kind of response. Even if I wasn't qualified for the job (which I was), they could have at least responded back to me. These agencies are like meat-markets. You're just a body to them. Forget personal service, which an agency like this is for. Thumbs down for sure! Don't waste your time with them.

I highly recommend Fogarty Knapp & Associates! Heather Knapp is a talented and amazing recruiter that will guide you towards achieving your goals. I have met several recruiters from other agencies, but Heather was the only one who actually took her time to listen to my concerns, and guided me through the whole interviewing process, always checking in, and helping me prepare for interviews. She does care for her clients and she will go out of her way to help.

They are extremely dismissive and uppity about themselves. Not willing to spend time with potential clientele, I think they're looking for the big kill referral paycheck. I feel like I wasn't worth their time.

Responded to an ad for a position at a law firm. Asked for salary (within range that was given) and the recruiter said I would "never" get the salary. Well, I got the salary asked and position. It didn't work out at that firm because the person I worked for was a total douche. The same recruiter said that she wouldn't submit me for EA positions.

Way to have faith in your candidate. I relocated out of state and guess what? I was placed in an EA role through an amazing recruiter. Don't ever let any recruiter tell you that you're not capable or talk you out of the salary you know you're worth! Try to avoid this agency if you can. There is a reason they receive average reviews.

Fogarty Knapp & Associates is the first and only recruiting source I recommend. The investment they put into their candidates stems so far beyond the monetary value of placing them. They just placed me in my second job with one of the best companies in Fairfield County and I cannot thank them enough for the candid conversation, the advice and counseling without agenda, and a genuine interest in my career. I am going into work with a fresh attitude towards everything and have them to thank!

It saddens me that this agency has such low ratings on here, because when I was initially was contacted by them, it definitely discouraged me a little. However, I decided I had nothing to lose, so I began working with Susie Glynn and my experience was great. I ended up finding a job on my own, but Susie undoubtedly took the time to look over my resume, give me helpful advice and I scored a couple of fantastic interviews through them - at jobs that I may even have gotten had I not accepted an offer elsewhere. I definitely recommend this agency if you are looking for a job, and Susie is terrific!

I concur with Miss B who said "run, don't walk". They must perceive themselves to be efficient by responding to your resume with: "have you ever registered with Fogarty Knapp? ". Note the multiple question marks - in case one wasn't enough. Question FK - wouldn't you know if I've registered? This firm is amateurish. They also think that if you are not presently working you may as well have Ebola. It's irrelevant if the not working was your choice or because of a dying parent, etc. NOT being employed makes you, in their very narrow vision, unemployable. Don't waste your time here.

The worst. Waste of time. No follow up. I was emailed repeatedly and enticed to come in to discuss my resume and open positions. I expressed interest in positions and was asked to revise my resume repeatedly. Took various skills assessments. Was told I would be submitted for positions while there, and upon follow up was "urged" to apply for different positions.

I found out after searching the internet on my own, that the positions were outdated. The short of the story is, don't bother with this agency. You would do better searching for jobs on your own.
