THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM! They are the only staffing agency I know of that asks you to fill out sensitive paperwork BEFORE they have even spoken to you on the phone, or offered you a position. Their website sets up a phone interview date and time (and they give themselves 1 hour from the expected time to call you!), then they never call!. Then they send an email saying that the job you applied for is no longer available. It seems they are only trying to get your social security # etc. BEWARE!

Please use great caution when dealing with RemX. They are not always truthful and their actions have led to a great embarrassment for me and may prevent me from getting a job. I was placed in a contract position at McKesson that I truly loved and all input from supervisors was positive. I received a call from RemX on 02/25/2019 and informed my "contract has ended." I understand this is always a possibility when working as a contractor so I accepted it and started sending out resumes.
I also applied for unemployment. I was placed in this position through RemX but some of the documents I had received referred to them as Remedy Temps, and my pay came through Employbridge. I called RemX to confirm the official company name and address that would be appropriate to put on the unemployment application. The person I spoke with reviewed my record and informed me that I was still considered an "active employee" at RemX and had not been "terminated." My contract at the employer had expired, but I was not truly unemployed and would not likely receive unemployment benefits.
The recruiter sent me a referral for another job in a field in which I have no experience, and which paid little more than 1/2 of my previous position. I have to drop a grandchild off at school at 7:30, but the shift started at 6:30 AM, and the job is in another town. I let them know I could not apply for this position. I have not received additional referrals from RemX.
I began interviewing for appropriate positions in my area and when asked why I left my position I let them know my contract ended, which is what RemX told me. This morning I received a call from an unemployment case worker. He informed me that RemX told them I was removed from my position due to performance issues. I asked if he had something in writing confirming this and he so no, it was information provided in a phone call.
They also told him I had refused another job. They did not tell him that it was in a different field and in another town and that I was unable to accept it due to the shift. He told me that my explanation is adequate and that I will receive unemployment benefits, however the bigger issue here is that when my potential employers check my work history with RemX, their stance that I was "removed from my position due to performance issues" will conflict what I told them in my interview, making me appear to be dishonest. So, my advice is to use extreme caution with dealing with RemX.

Out of all the staffing agencies that I have ever worked with RemX has been the most consistent and has kept me satisfied. Every position that I have had with RemX which was a sales and catering role at a hotel and now a program associate at a law school has helped me grow as a professional! I cannot express how happy I am with my position now. John, one of the recruiters with RemX, was just as determined as I was to find a good role that I would do well in! So appreciative of this staff! They're the best! Ask for John Chao! =

I posted my resume on Craigslist and then received an e-mail from Darren who said he was really interested in it as they had a lot of clients looking for my skill set. He encouraged me to sign on and I got the usual pep talk that he would have no problem getting me a job (although my salary requirement might be a bit too high at $20 an hour) as their clients usually paid about $15.00 to $16.00 an hour.
I said I would take anything suitable at this point, even if it was temporary. He told me to check in with him frequently. I e-mailed him about ten days later and got no answer. Called and spoke to John and asked if Darren had returned 'from vacation' (wanted to try and find out if he had been out of the office thus explaining not getting in contact with me) but John would not give me any information. E-mailed Darren back and still have not received a reply as of writing this review.
I agree with one of the other posters that it seems they just troll through Craigslist looking for people that are unemployed, contact them and then promise to get them jobs if they sign on. Perhaps they have a quota to fill of people on their books but I'm not impressed now with the way they conduct themselves as a staffing agency. Am very disappointed with the lack of professional courtesy I received.
There might be no jobs suitable but at least have the courtesy to answer e-mails. If you can't do this simple thing for the people you have on your books, then this behavior does not bode well for your reputation.

I received a call from them this morning. The man was very sarcastic and was recruiting for admin work. I didn't feel comfortable giving out the name of the job I'm currently with, and I could tell that didn't please him. Why would I give out personal information over the phone to someone who might not even have work for me or be a good fit at all?
The whole conversation lasted about 2 minutes. Sounds like yet another bogus staffing agency cold-calling people who post their resumes on Craigslist, promising jobs and delivering nothing.

By the other reviews on here it looks like RemX would be a great temp agency, if you were lucky enough to have Sharmain or Catherine as your contact. Unfortunately for me, I had John C as my 'agent', and it has been a much less than enjoyable experience. I'm sure John thinks he is a go-getting, no-nonsense person, but he is actually just rude, discourteous and abrupt; he will ask a question and start talking over you when you start to answer, or if you express concerns about qualifications he ignores it and talks over you.
He gives out incorrect information on job and testing requirements.in the several months I've been with RemX he's found one job lead for me, sent me tests to take on my computer and told me the client was looking for 100% scores. I tested in the 80% area so figured I was out of the running, but then John said the scores were great and would submit my resume.
He also told me the job would run 5 weeks, but when I interviewed with the client they said the job would run four months; when I called John afterwards to let him know he claimed he had told me four months. I had a couple of interviews with the client and didn't hear anything else, I finally emailed John to find out he status. John called me the next day and left a message to call him for 'feedback'.
I tried calling several times but his line was constantly busy, when I was finally able to get through the receptionist (Darren --- another story there) said John was at lunch and would call me back. Three hours later I still hadn't heard from John so I called again, got Darren, asked if John were available, and was hung up on. I called again, John picked up, and when I mentioned I had returned his call at one John cut me off with "I was at lunch." When I told him about Darren hanging up on me he said "oh, I'm sure he didn't mean to.".
I asked him what the status was with the job I had interviewed for and he said the client had decided to go with someone else. So, upshot of it all, I've been registered with RemX for several months, got one job lead and a lot of attitude from John.
