Just finished my interview there with Dawn. Very professional place from the moment I went in. Dawn was quick to dial in my skills and match them with opportunities they have at hand. I had a sense that it would be a positive first meeting when I went on their website before my interview and was impressed very much by it. I am very excited to hear from them about potential positions!

Dawn was easy to talk to, very helpful and friendly. My interview experience was wonderful!

Met today with Amanda at City Personnel. I was very impressed with how prepared she was. She asked me what I was looking for at my next job. She laid out 4 or 5 different positions that she thought I would be a good match for her clients. She was very courteous, polite and professional. I'm looking forward to working with Amanda and City Personnel.

City Personnel was quick to respond to my application and schedule a meeting right away. I believe that they strive to find the best candidates for the job. They're not just trying to filling a position. They seem to have a great relationship with the companies and organizations that they are trying to find employees for. Amanda interviewed me and she was great.

I originally had a great experience with city personnel. Then, things went south. I was placed in a job that turned out to be lackluster. It definitely seemed like Dawn rushed me into a position but I was happy to be working. After a few months I decided to leave the job I was having difficulty with it (my manager left for maternity leave 2 days after I started which may be why I wasn't trained properly). Anyway, I reached out to Dawn after leaving the original position and she straight up turned me down. Didn't even make an attempt.

I would like to think of myself as a hard worker and valuable asset to any company and she just told me she couldn't help me. ALSO, I left a nice review originally because she asked me to and in return would send me a gift card. They never sent the gift card, not that I care but still, what a whack agency. ALSO, I happen to run into Dawn a year or so after the incident, I was in a parking lot and I moved a shopping cart out of the parking spot for her since I'm a nice person and she didn't even thank me. Just went into the store and pretended I didn't help her at all. Rude. Would not recommend. Overall not a good experience.

At first, it was difficult for city personnel to find me a job in my desired salary. I was hesitant to take something that started lower than I preferred, even if the pay would raise after a probationary period. I'm happy to say after their hard work, we did find a position that paid my desired range. I am excelling and I have city personnel to thank.

City Personnel is friendly, prompt, and found a great job for me right away. The job they found is better in terms of $$ and room for growth. Another thing I appreciated was that they text/email you before the interview to give you tips, and they ask you to call after the interview to find out how it went. Highly recommend

City Personnel is a great place to turn to when you need help with your job search. They are all very friendly and helpful. They are very good at finding a good placement for you and following up to make sure that it is working out for you.

The office was easy to find, right on Broadway, and comfy. City Personnel got back to me quickly when I initially reached out to them, and were able to place me just as fast. Dawn and the staff there were nothing but pleasant and easy to work with, and a treat like this was just the cherry on top. Would definitely use them again if I find myself between jobs in the future.

The team at City Personnel is friendly, helpful, and professional. I've had a wonderful experience working with each person on the team I've met, gaining truly valuable information and advice while searching for work. They connected me with a great temp opportunity that ended up working out longer than expected. If I can recommend one thing, it's to be open to temp assignments - you never know what it could become or the professional connections you could make. You get out of it what you put in. Overall I'm so pleased with my experience with this team and I'm so glad I connected with them when I relocated to RI.

My husband got a new job so we moved from California to Rhode Island. I came across City Personnel when I was applying for jobs. I had only worked with a temp agency once before, but I figured I'd give it a shot. I was surprised when they called me the week after my interview with a position for me. I really appreciated them working with me so I can make my medical appointments.

Definitely would recommend them to anyone looking for a job. Update: while the company is great for finding a job within reasonable time, they also offer things and fail to follow through.

Had a great experience working with Dawn and her team. They really care they you are the right candidate for the job they are placing you at and also care that the company is a reputable one that cares about its employees. I highly recommend working with City Personnel

I had a good working relationship with CP but i've found them to not be as accommodating with finding full time positions that pay relatively well. they're great for part time work that pays slightly over minimum wage, but other agencies are much better at finding full time work with decent pay.

This was the worst agency I have ever attempted to work with! I responded to an ad for a job that I was interested in. I met with Dawn and she discussed my goals, the job and future placement. Turns out the job was not hours that I was able to work but that did not stop her from trying to shove the job on me anyway. I have written emails and expressed interest in other jobs since then as I can work in more than one field based on my experiences. Emails have been completely ignored and phone calls not returned.

It felt like because the one original job I responded was not a fit for me that they just said "forget him" for anything else. Don't waste your time, there are are far better agencies out there that will actually work with you!

Very eager and professional company that wants to help consultants. Unfortunately, the bulk of their contracts are secretarial and or pay below market rate. When we moved to RI for my husband's job from out of state and I could not get an interview due to moving here and not knowing anyone (Yes, RI is that kind of state for job seekers). They really were my last resort but were helpful and professional. Fortunately I had a job offer finally and was able to move on. I would suggest them if you are seeking an admin role.

I moved from Texas to RI. I was having an awful time trying to get an interview for any company until I met City Personnel. They had an open house and within a week I had my first interview. The following week I found out that I was successful. I was/am dealing with Dawn and she is amazingly helpful, kind, honest and professional. I have worked for recruitment agencies in 3 countries and City Personnel are my favorite. Thank you so much.

I originally interviewed with City Personnel in 2015. I kept in contact with Dawn, she was always quick to reply back to my emails. They called me for a couple of jobs since then but it wasn't until late 2016 until I was placed in one. Ashley was super helpful and also quick to reply to my emails/calls. I am grateful for this agency as I would not have found the great company I am working for now without them. It is worth a shot to interview with city personnel. You never know where it may take you.

Moved to RI from NY, met with Dawn and within 2-3 weeks she found me a job which has been great so far. It has everything I told her I wanted in a job, from the great work atmosphere to the job description. One thing I can say.is my temp hours have been up for over a month. I haven't heard from dawn nor have I got hired as a perm yet. HR at the job says it will be happening soon and they are just waiting for permission from the office headquarters overseas. a little feedback would be nice from city personnel or they should have told me about this in the beginning. Not getting paid for holidays, especially as a lot are approaching.its terrible.

City Personnel has been a great agency to work with. I am so glad I came across them while I was job hunting. They helped me find the perfect job during my temp stay in Providence. If I came back for a summer I will definitely return with them.

I would give this 0 stars if I could. Went to speak to Dawn about finding something temporary. She interviewed me and everything went well. Never received any leads or correspondence from her afterward. I reached out at least 4 times, each time her replying with, "nothing currently". This was 8 months ago. Never helped me out, complete waste of time.

Since the last review was from 2012, I thought I would write a more recent and fair review (read honest) about the service I received from City Personnel. As a job seeker, I found City Personnel to be professional, honest, and thorough. I was wary about using an employment agency, but City Personnel quickly quelled my worries. Although I applied to a position through Craigslist that they didn't end up placing me with (the ad was NOT marked as an employment agency ad), I still give City Personnel 5 stars.

I made it clear that I only wanted permanent, full-time employment with full benefits, and an honest employer. The staff at City Personnel honored my request and didn't waste my time with temp, temp to perm, or otherwise unfavorable jobs. They also met my salary requirements and didn't present me with anything less. In addition, I noticed they offered meeting times before and after normal "business hours" of 9-5 for those who are currently employed, which is thoughtful.

City Personnel has been thorough with their follow up with me, always calling/texting/e-mailing promptly with updates. I received a hand-written "congratulations" card when my employer offered me a position, which was a nice touch. My now-employer that City Personnel placed me with (an HONEST and ethical employer) has hired multiple employees using City Personnel and has nothing negative to say about their service. Seems as if they DO, in fact, have a pool of qualified candidates, and as a candidate myself, my references and candidacy were indeed verified.
