Honestly, I wouldn't even give these people 1 star if I wasn't forced to select a star. Absolutely incompetent and lazy employees. I just moved to the Des Moines area from Minneapolis where I have several years of sales experience selling software and medical devices to orthopedic surgeons. I have reached out SEVERAL times to various staff members via email and phone over the last few months.

I have never once received an email or call back from an actual person. I've only been contacted by "Palmer Group" email saying I am unqualified for even the most basic of jobs.

I've worked for other great temp services over the years but The Palmer Group tops them all for outstanding service, caring and thoughtful attentiveness to my every need for finding the perfect job. Jeanne Gookin, you are the best and I will never forget how you hung in there and went to bat for me from start to finish! Then upon placement and acceptance I was even met personally at my new job location by Jeanne and Amanda from The Palmer so they could introduce me face to face to my new manager and they Even gave me a fresh box of baked sweets to share with my new office team!

What great treatment! Above and beyond great treatment. I am so impressed by this wonderfully intuitive company. My highest recommendation is whole heartily given to this outstanding temp service. They have all been just absolutely wonderful to me and I want the whole world to know. You have a loyal fan and dedicated temp server, Palmer Group. Jeanne was great to work with. Always very prompt in her responses and cheerful. Although I ended up finding a job on my own and not through Palmer group, I did do a couple interviews and the interview prep portion helped immensely. They seem to truly care about placing you in a job where you'll be a good fit. I would highly recommend Palmer group for your job search!

While I ultimately accepted a job offer from someone else, I greatly appreciated how responsive and professional Palmer Group was while working with them. They checked in every week and followed up with me after submitting me to various job opportunities. They were one of only a couple hiring agencies in the the Des Moines area to stay in contact and follow through with what they were telling me. Depending on your skills (like mine) it can take time and patience to find the right fit, but I would highly recommend giving them a try.

I was a math educator for 19 years, looking to start a 2nd career. I started applying in January in 2018 and 2019 and got 2 interviews total. Within 6 weeks of contacting Palmer, I began my new career. Without Palmer, I would still be looking. Their recruiters are GREAT people, and this appears to be the way to break into a new career. When I applied, I actually met with 3 recruiters in 3 different areas.

I never would have chosen my current career path but I am loving the change so far. I began as a temp and was hired full-time. This agency is very disrespectful to people trying to find work. All the agents want to do is make you feel like crap about your work history. When you are trying to change career fields. The agent I had did not return calls when I would call to get info on job openings. I finally got fed up and spoke to a manger about how this agent was talking to me she tried to give me another agent to smooth things over but the same thing happened again.

I was approached by Sophia Godfrey who actually turned out to be a friend of a friend and was very prompt at setting up a visit with me to discuss my skills and what I was looking for in a job. She told me about a couple of openings and then told me about a few openings in administrative work that were being recruited for by Chelsea. I decided to proceed with a job available through Chelsea.

She was very nice and always did a great job of following up with me. For one of my interviews, I had to prepare a presentation and both Chelsea and Melanie offered to let me come in for a run through so that they could give me tips and a change of environment to practice in. They definitely went above and beyond when it came to answering my questions and helping with scheduling. They also were quick to let me know when I landed the job that has ended up being a wonderful fit for me!

I've been in contact with Palmer Group for a year and a half now, and I have had nothing but great experiences from assisting me in finding a position to anything I've needed since I've been contracted with them. I contacted Palmer Group about a position they advertised and they suggested I come in for an interview. As part of the interview process, I was given some skills tests. After the tests were complete, they told me the position I applied for was no longer available. They told me they would call me if a similar position opened up. Two weeks later, I was checking their jobs website and found another position that would fit my skills set.

When I called and asked about that job, they said the job was no longer available, but they would call me if a job became available. I haven't heard from them in four weeks. I hope they weren't trying to give me the brush-off. Why have jobs listed that are not available?

A great group of professionals! My experiences with the Palmer Group has always been very positive. They are truly interested in every candidate and I really believe they work very hard to find a good match for all of their clients - both those looking for positions and those looking for staff to fill them. One of the things I really like about this group is that when they haven't heard from you for a while, they make every effort to reach out and see how things are going. Sometimes that's all it takes if you are even considering a change. They will always be my number one pick for employment placement.

I was very disappointed in the Palmer Group. I have a college education and over 20 years of secretarial experience and their answer to every job I applied for was always "You don't have the experience we are looking for!" In my opinion, the receptionist, if she is still there, was very unprofessionally dressed and also very unprofessional. If you asked her any questions, she acted like she was bothered with you and gave her answers in one or two words.

This place only recruits people to work with one of the biggest banks around, not to mention the data entry sweatshops that don't pay squat. What happened to the days when you applied for a job you saw in the newspaper and mailed them your resume and a cover letter? My very first job that I ever was offered was done this way. I was called a couple of days later for an interview.

The next day I was called and they offered me the position. It's hard to find jobs these days, and especially hard to find a job through the Palmer Group. I would not recommend them to anyone!
