Host your next event in one of Casa Latina's rental spaces! We have five rooms available. Whether your event is a meeting, workshop, celebration party, or social event, Casa Latina has the space for you. Only nonprofit organizations will be permitted to rent a room for a fundraiser and/or revenue purpose.
Casa Latina's mission is to advance the power of Latino immigrants through educational and economic opportunities. Our programs are unique in that they combine direct services with community organizing, helping Latino immigrants meet their immediate needs and become key spokespeople in the fight to build a more equitable future for all immigrants.
Casa Latina has a Worker Defense Committee that supports immigrants facing wage theft or workplace discrimination. We are a group of workers and community allies that organize to support workers in recovering unpaid wages. All workers have the right to be paid for their work, regardless of immigration status.
Mujeres Sin Fronteras (Women Without Borders) is a leadership development program originally created for domestic workers of Casa Latina. Mujeres Sin Fronteras arises from the need to create a space where domestic workers can organize to advocate for the dignity of domestic work and create movements for better working conditions without neglecting the challenges as women and mothers.

I have used Casa Katina over the years and been pleased with their work. As the fees go up their willingness to work is going down. The last two times I have hired someone, they were not willing to stay beyond the five hours to finish the job. Not Once again today, I am left without a finished project. I was more than willing to pay for the additional hour or two.
So now I have to hire someone else to finish the job. I have hired landscaping companies in the past to clean my flower beds, but they came and worked until the job was finished. I think I will go back to working with them and services like task rabbit. That way I know I can get my project completed after all that is the general purpose. It is to get paid a fair wage for them and get the work done for me. I am very disappointed because I would rather work with a non-profit. The guy that came did a great job but I think I'm done.

Had a great first experience with Casa Latina's Day Worker program. I called to schedule a move out clean and was easily able to book someone for the next day. Maricruz did a GREAT job scrubbing our kitchen, bathroom and floors. I've never seen the fridge that clean! I'd definitely hire from Casa Latina again. Great mission and great service.

I used the services of Casa Latina for two occasions - house cleaning and basic gardening. I am happy with the gardening service but house cleaning was not satisfactory. The person who came to my house didn't do anything I said. She dusted some of the places not everywhere, vacuumed, wiped the kitchen countertop, and mopped. If thats what you are looking for. Go for it. I purchased deep cleaning and was expecting more. I will not hire a cleaner again but will def hire one of the gardeners again.

I had been hired the yard worker from this place. They were working hard for the first times. I brought lunch for what they want to eat. Always provided water, tea for them. When continuing hire the same people, they took advantage of you. They work less and did minimum work. Now checking out their new rate, it is too expensive. The cost is more than my hourly work rate.
I also hired house cleaners for two different ladies. They were not careful about the equipment that you provided. Always banged the equipment on the door or on wall. After one month, my vacuum were scratched and in very bad shape. Even worse, after I stopped hiring the lady, she used my phone number called her home outside the country as collected call. So thinking twice when hiring people here.

Great organization and they have always provided amazing people to do the work. I have used them for large projects - landscaping, minor construction, and other skilled labor. I can not recommend them enough, even my friends have stopped asking because they know to go to Casa Latina if they need someone to help with a project.

We have utilized Casa Latina's Hire a Worker program for several years. We've used them for household, yard and minor construction projects and have ALWAYS had only the highest caliber of people show up who work well and hard. We are moving to Whidbey this summer and I'm truly going to miss this organization and its resources.

Don't let a lack of Spanish stop you from hiring a worker. I have hired workers since they stood on Western Ave in front of the first Casa Latina without any problem. Each worker has been a delight to have in my garden and around my house. Each worker has been eager to work all the time, some without break others appreciative of a quick bite and a bottle of water. You will be thankful for their work ethic and niceness, they earn the wages specified to the max.

I have hired painters from Casa Latina a few times and they are extremely dependable and hardworking. They have done a great job at my facility and are always on time and courteous. I also like that Casa Latina has a van transportation option for their workers since it makes hiring a few people super easy.

I've been hiring workers from Casa Latina since they opened way back when. I'm a single, 60 year old woman and I need a lot of help around my house and yard. I've never had any issues whatsoever with any of the workers. They have been absolutely wonderful- polite, respectful, and hard-working. I am so grateful for this organization that gives hardworking men and women a decent way to work and earn a respectable, protected wage. Thank you Casa Latina!

I hired a worker from Casa Latina to do extensive yardwork. The man that arrived with absolutely fantastic and I have had him back a few times. He was very skilled at doing all the yard clean up tasks that I asked of him, Very courteous, polite, and agreeable. I will definitely have him back every couple of weeks for yard maintenance. I highly recommend Casa Latina.
When hiring a worker by phone, I have had great experience with the two gentlemen who have organized the process for me. They are super helpful, very concise and explaining the process to me and very helpful. The entire process from hiring a worker from the organization, to having the worker execute the yardwork with an amazing fantastic experience!
I am moving out of this home and putting it up for rental and have engaged Casa Latina to send a house cleaner to help me with the task. I will never hesitate to use Casa Latina again. This is a wonderful organization and their mission is fantastic. Top-notch all the way around and I highly recommend!

Definitely visit this place. They are extremely helpful and very nice. The attorneys here for a consultation are very knowlegable and super helpful. I scarcely knew anything about our complex and expensive immigration process when I got there, but when I left, I felt more confident and left understanding most if not nearly all of it. They work with you, they will offer a payment plan based on income if you decide to continue with their attorneys. They also have English classes there on Mondays and Thursdays from 6pm to 8pm. I'm much happier after leaving here.

Hello, I'm a Casa Latina worker. I just got to Seattle from Los Angeles and although it's been a bumpy road wandering around here, Casa Latina has given me and others a sense of belonging and a chance to contribute to Seattle. Call and tell them what's needed and how many you need and level of English desired. The workers here are categorized by their level of english, level of strength, and fields of experience; here's an example. Y3-L-U2 this means: Y= yardwork capable 3= level of English (0-3) L= landscape capable U= heavy duty capable 2= strength ability (0-2).
All workers are scanned for sex crimes and arsony. There's a few people that aren't Latino that like the way things are done here. Many are skilled and there are a few bad apples, but they get pulled off the tree. The girls do housekeeping duties. Thanks to all who support your amigos!

Definitely recommend - better than haggling at the HomeDepot. Very diligent workers. A few speak basic english. Rates are very reasonable. Can also hire skilled workers if needed. I used 2 folks for a move that lasted 8 hours, in the rain. and they worked really hard. Had a great attitude throughout the day, even when lifting and moving heavy furniture. Please be considerate and buy them breakfast / lunch. And tip.

I hired two workers from Casa Latina on Saturday, June 12th. The landscaping guy was an incredibly hard worker, and was very skilled at trimming the hedges, weeding, etc. The lady who was helping me clean the house interior was also very hard. Both of them worked for 7 solid hours without a break. Both were very friendly. I would definitely use Casa Latina again, and will recommend them to others. Regarding the pay scale - I think it was fair. I'd rather get good hard workers at $20ish an hour than haggle for someone for $10-$15 and have them not work as hard.

I have used Casa Latina in the past and have had very good success. Recently, I requested a worker and Casa Latina provided David. His work ethic, work, disposition, and attention to detail were fantastic. He was absolutely great to work with! I would highly recommend that you provide a good lunch and have water available for your workers during the day. Make sure they have access to facilities. On cold days a hot beverage is always greatly appreciated! And tip them, they deserve it!

ZERO STARS, RIP OFF (subpar work, did only 40% of the job!) I paid $120 for 5 man hours and this is what I didn't get: Our home is a standard rambler 4 bedrooms and 1.75 bath, 1200 sqft. They DID NOT: (please look at the pictures I took) -clean the full bath AT ALL - fully clean the 0.75 bath -vacuum 3 of the 4 bedrooms AT ALL -clean the kitchen floor AT ALL - sweep or vacuum the laundry/basement hallway AT ALL - clean the dinning room table or wipe it down with wood polish provided AT ALL They DID: - leave the dinning room furniture in disarray to give the illusion that the floor had been cleaned, but it WASN'T -leave a slipper on the already made bed - leave the 0.75 bath that was supposedly cleaned in disarray -leave their unwashed cup in the sink I called CL on Tuesday and booked 2 house cleaners for Sat.
I was told the hourly rate is $15. and that there is a 5 hour minimum. So I said I have a small child can I book 2 people for 2.5 hour instead? Yes absolutely, that will be $75. I booked them from 2-4:30, they didn't show up by 2:15, I called CL. Since this was on a Sat afternoon there is no support staff on call at the CL to speak to. I left 2 messages and they didn't get back to me.
The 2 women showed up at 3! And showed me their papers that stated 3, so I said OK looks like there was a transcription error by the phone operator. Come on in and start cleaning. (by this time my husband and I had started the cleaning and the kitchen was mostly done, except the floors and his office had been dusted. I handed the 2 ladies (Doris and Ines) a list of what I needed done in each room.
I then proceeded to walk them through the list, but they said no need we can go off the list. Keep in mind that I asked the telephone operator if they had a list of things they do? He said no you can provide one, this is why we are so good at what we do because our workers go above and beyond. They will do deep cleaning and even wash clothes. When it came to payment we said who do we make the check out to?
To each of us individually, and it will be $60 for each person! But I was told it's $75 for 5 hours! NO! You have to pay $60 for each of us! By this time we just wanted them out of our home! We paid them and thankfully they left. What a rip off. For $120 I got my living room, one hallway and a bedroom vacuumed. My usual cleaning lady who was unavailable today charges me $75 and is in and out in 3 hours.
I wanted to love this organization, but I won't be using them again. Important to note, I am fluent in English, the man I spoke with on the phone was fluent in English and Doris spoke English just fine.
