Critical: Quality, Value Not truthful. My mama told me before I moved out here not to trust anyone. Horrible experience. They get your personal information and never help you while you suffer they are relaxing in their offices eating tacos and sipping on Starbucks.

I was running into personal issues towards the middle of my 18 month assignment at Nutrilite in Buena Park, all of which involved the county courts. I tried to ask if I could transfer to morning shifts but was told nothing was available. Within two days, I received a call telling me I was terminated for "attendance". This happened the day after my 4 week workday. Months later, I run into the supervisor of my former department (for this assignment) at a family party and he had asked why I up and quit.

I explained to him that Helpmates said my attendance was "bad" allegedly and he gave me a puzzled look and said."there was an email that mentioned you just quit." Imagine my surprise when I would later run into a former Helpmates recruiter--one who worked at the Nutrilite location during my assignment and who was more helpful than her narrow minded and airheaded colleagues--who told me that since I said over the phone that I wanted to go to first shift, a red flag was placed over my head as they saw me as a risk within the contract and just decided to terminate me.

She had also said the decision to terminate me was made in advance, like two weeks before. Why was I kept on for another two weeks if there was no future in my assignment?! It's understandable that staffing has to be fulfilled but the idea of being used as a placeholder infuriates me to this day. I was sent to a neighboring warehouse for the same company in Santa Fe.

It was alright but too far from where I lived so I withdrew after three days. Tried going back for another assignment at the Helpmates Irvine location only to have one in person meeting and be given the silent treatment. This silent treatment was the result of the Nutrilite helpmates recruiters putting a note on my name. I had to go in person to the cypress location only to be told that I was practically banned from the agency.

At least give a courtesy call or email advising me not to bother inquiring about assignments rather than lead me on. I'm not mad. I got in 7 months but within that time I was able to learn so much about material handling, quality control, and inspection. It landed me a job at a manufacturing company in Irvine where I was paid far more as a temp than Helpmates paid out and even more now as a company employee going almost 2 and a half years strong now.

My advice and opinion? Helpmates is dysfunctional and you are better off going to Randstad staffing or Manpower where you are put into better paying assignments 03/08/2022 -- RESPONSE TO "RESPONSE FROM THE OWNER": Why would I call Mario? He said the same thing over the phone a year before this review was posted, "Yeah, it looks like there's a note on your name from a *former helpmates recruiter* and we have to honor that note and because of that we are unable to help you."

I want to thank Helpmates for helping me secure a job extremely fast! They are responsive and will answer any questions you have. Damien especially who is my contact for finding work has helped me tremendously. Was out of work for a few weeks for personal problems at home and called to see if they had work available and they always have something available to start either the following week or right away! If anyone needs a job, give these guys a call and start earning! Thanks Helpmates and Damien!

This company is getting one star because they left a flyer on the passenger side window of my car. That means I have to drive around looking at it and then try to remember to grab it when I get out again. Beside the fact that windshield fliers are bad for the environment because people throw them on the ground, this company obviously does not do a good job of training their staff if they have not instructed their staff to place the flyer on the driver's side.

Let me just say this company is great! Very helpful staff everyone is so nice and welcoming. They are very quick and concise about getting you a position that works for you. I recently moved and reached back out to Diane who is always so nice and helpful she was there for me when nobody was. My mother passed and she helped me get a position that kept me afloat during my time of need. Nancy is always so happy to provide help. I'd love for others to work here long term short term its just a great environment

Critical: Professionalism, Value Wasted a lot of my time, helpmates has the worst online application, you have to fill out 8 different employment histories, the I went in to interview for a company twice, they called my references twice asked crazy questions only to give me a low ball offer.

Thank you helpmates! Also Daisy for going out of her way to make sure I find employment as soon as possible and kept me updated about everything. Always called me with new opportunities : would definitely recommend this agency!

Do not call this employment agency! they say they will call you and they don't. and if you happen to want to work for them because you're desperate, do not ask for daisy. she is the culpret. she doesn't deliver. she says she'll have someone reachout or says she will but never does. a waste of time!

An awful racist staffing agency that discriminates against African Americans and not only ignores you if you're black in favor of Hispanic and white applicants, but also makes up an excuse to ask you to leave of you're black. I've worked with dozens of staffing agencies, so believe me when I say that this is the worst staffing agency of all time, bar none. Avoid, avoid, avoid. Also, the young Hispanic girl Nancy who works the front desk is a stone cold racist who should be fired. The recruiter Madison Trejo discriminates against both white and black candidates and will only help Hispanic women find jobs.

Diane M is wonderful! If ever a job was meant for someone specifically, this surely is of Diane. Diane sincerely cares about the people who work for Helpmates. She is always there to assist you. Has a great personality too! Can't thank her enough for all she did for me! Judy K

Diane Monaco is a Gem. She mentored me from the very first time I entered the doors. She is very professional and understanding of your needs. She deals with several clients, and when you need her she a goes out of her way and always makes you feel Ike you're her only client. She has always gone above and beyond, I would say more than 200 percent.

She gives her all to get the job done. Always willing to do more than her share, a true professional! I have been able to expand and hone my skills to become a valued candidate. She is s true pleasure to work with. Helpmates she is a wonderful asset to your company, She has a wonderful rapport with the offices that she works with due to her professionalism and true caring attitude. I couldn't ask for a better group of professionals that looked out for my best interest when I was looking for employment. They found me employment asap according to my specific qualifications. And when that job was over they found me another one within one week. Even though Covid-19 has brought everything to a halt, Helpmates will rise to the challenge and get the ball rolling with job offers in no time.

I have had my fair share of staffing agency experience. So much so, that I could be a recruiter myself. But of all the agencies, Helpmates has been the best. And while I have had my fair share of recruiters in my time, Gena Monroy is my number one. She's my ace for sure. Not only is she professional, but she's personable, sincere and brutally honest when it's needed.

She doesn't give up on anyone, no matter how much of a lost cause you may be(talkin about me). She has given me some amazing opportunities and is so good about offering what I want/like, while also knowing what I'm skilled for. She approached me almost a month ago about a job.turns out it was a dream job of mine. A place i have been trying to get into for a couple years now.

Not even a month in and they want to make me a permanent employee. That's what happens when you have a recruiter like Gena. She gets to know you, your personality, she learns what will work for you. And all I ever have needed to do was sick back and trust her. Simple. So all in all, if you are looking for a job, come to Helpmates in Irvine, and Gena is your needed contact. I promise it will be the best decision you ever made. And let her know Devon Martin referred you!

So I reached out, was told to contact their director of operations. Called, left a voicemail, and he responded the next day. A three minute phone call in which he says "Well, unfortunately your recruiter is no longer with the company and we have to go by the note that she left. So we are unable to work with you again. Sorry." And he hung up. Found out recently that an app I had on my iPhone at the time both recorded and transcribed the phone call of that very same recruiter and I speaking and formally ending my assignment. "You did the right thing by calling me versus just not showing up at all. I'm going to go ahead and end your assignment and refer you over to my colleagues at the Cypress location." Those were her exact words.

I now wouldn't recommend Helpmates. I've had more success with Adecco. And for the pay I was receiving with my first assignment with Helpmates, I am paid over $20 as a temp through Adecco for the exact same work.

I have worked many contract positions with multiple agencies. My hats off to Diane Monaco & her team at Helpmates, Irvine. Working with Diane was such a pleasure, she was always available to me when needed. I am thankful for the opportunity she gave me which landed me a permanent job. Thanks so much Diane

This is an ok agency however I still can't figure out why they ended my assignment less than 3 weeks in. I was always there on time ready to work. They ended up giving me some bull shit reason. I think I was doing fine at that company and sometimes it takes time for people to learn everything at a company. I actually really enjoyed the job they sent me to. I think they were just picky and felt like ending the assignment. It sucks but I guess life goes on and their are other opportunities.

Helpmates is a great staffing agency overall. I had the pleasure to work with Diane M., very helpful every step of the way. She kept in the loop with all the updates that were required at the time. Couldn't be much happier with the result, she got me an interview and I got a direct hire with a great company. Thank you Diane for all your work and dedication you put into the hiring process, great person to work with. I will recommend Helpmates staff to anybody that is out there looking to better themselves.

Guess what I am giving only one star beacuse helpmates in Buena park they are really rude and disrespectful but the ones in cypress are nice profecional people they do help you the ones in cypress but the ones in Buena park they don't anserw yours calls they but you to work in nutrilite in Buena park that's awful they treat you like a slave their they don't even but you help and they want you to do everything right with out any mistakes but they don't tell you how to do it either, I know it makes no sence.

They also send you to the warehouse of nutrilite in Santa fe spring guess what right their the people scream at you test you bad they tell you love it move it hurry up and they don't even tell you how to do the job either worst agency ever beacuse of Buena park branch

I had a great experience from the moment I walked in the door. Daisy provided great customer service and assist me with the process. My recruiter Norma helped me in placing me in a job we're I made a good fit in and the rest of the staff is amazing too.

Very Unprofessional. I have an associates degree and they couldn't send me anywhere for steady work. If you're looking for a good job with benefits, DONT COME HERE! Norma is very unprofessional and doesn't not care about your future.

1 wrong thing goes wrong, they end your assignments and tell you "they can't find you other jobs because your productivity". They give any bs excuse to not give you another job. DO NOT have Ernesto The recruiter help you, he's rude and does not like to help for SH**.

This is the worse agency to look for help, I had to email my agent several times and she still hasn't sent me the link I need to complete the regestering process. It's ridiculous! Thanks for nothing.

The front receptionist Daisy was very friendly, polite, and professional in her manner. She helped set me up with the application process and guided me through it until I finished and interviewed with Norma. Shout out to Diane M. that works here at Helpmates in Irvine. Extremely helpful and caring, she held my hand like a "Mom" throughout the hiring process. I had a ton of questions and Diane got back to me as soon as possible, if not immediately, 5/5 Customer Service! Truly a kind person, I hope some of you may have the pleasure to meet her during an interview!

Don't come here. At all. Take your experience and resume to the staffing agency Adecco--who are more responsive and go out of their way to secure an assignment for you regardless of your experience. I came here with a friend about a month ago. Provided a resume and was matched to an assignment. Did an interview and was told to wait a few days while they reached out to the client. So, I call 3 days later and got directly in contact with the individual who interviewed me. "Oh, let me reach out to the client again! Sorry!

It gets so hectic here! If I don't call or email you, just call back tomorrow." Well.uh. I was doing so for the past few weeks. Ended up getting a job as a permanent hire through Adecco recently, same position, and at a WAY better hourly rate than Helpmates was willing to pay. Helpmates. HELPmates. (?) Why is the word "help" even in their name?

They don't help anyone who is willing to work. Now that I think back on it, I now know why the receptionist kept asking me for my name when I would call. This is their way of preparing to ignore you with a few words. They won't even respond to your email(s), but are so engaged in communication with it when they want you to come in for an interview.

The job is still there, has even been updated regularly on both their main site and Indeed. Why would you guys waste my time coming in for an interview and then cut off communication right after? The friend who I came in with got a job within a week--unfortunately, they terminated her assignment three weeks into it because she'd verbally defended herself against bullies at the workplace she was placed at.

When she tried to go and see if she could get sent into another assignment, they told her she couldn't come back to the agency anymore. Adecco is where it's at people. Helpmates won't help you.unless you can help their pockets.

HELPMATES STAFFING SERVICES IS AMAZING! DIANE M. is awesome, she helped me secure employment in a matter of days of moving back to Cali with a AWESOME AND AMAZING company. They are very hands on making sure you being treated properly, and caring. I am honestly going to miss working for them. If you in need of employment, please, please go through them they will place you fast and treat you right.

I applied for a job that was being listed through Helpmates, and with the help of Diane M., I got the job! She was so helpful with making sure I had all I needed in my resume (references, etc.) and setting up my interview. She and everyone that I dealt with through the agency were very friendly and courteous, always returned my calls and emails in a timely manner and followed up to see how I was doing once I was hired. Really, I can't say enough good things about my experience working with them! Highly recommended!
