Goodwill Industries of Akron is a private, not-for-profit corporation, the purpose of which is to provide employment preparation, training, rehabilitation, employment and support service to persons with disabilities and/or other barriers to employment. The mission of Goodwill Industries of Akron is to help individuals prepare for, find and retain employment.
The health and safety of all visiting and working within our locations is our top priority. Face coverings encouraged for all in public indoor settings in areas of high transmission.
Knowing that every purchase you make at Goodwill supports its mission to help individuals prepare for, find and retain employment. Goodwill's free rewards program, Goodwill Club, is our way of saying thanks for shopping with us! As a member, you will receive discounts and earn rewards based on every dollar you spend in our retail stores (excluding new goods).
Goodwill is grateful for the generous donations it receives from community members every day. Goodwill sells the household goods you no longer need in our stores and uses the revenue to fund job training and other resources for people here in our community. Our Donation Attendants at our Retail Stores as well as Hudson and West Akron Attended Donation Centers are able to assist with unloading again. At our Retail Store locations only, you may continue to place items into the bins directly if you choose instead of person-to-person contact.

I visit Goodwills so much it would make Macklemore blush. It is with a heavy heart that I must now refrain from going to any of the Cleveland area Goodwills, as they do not honor their members' rewards or coupons. I used to look forward to taking a full day and touring the tri-county area spending a ton on the Cleveland area goodwills and all the great finds they had.
It was always worth the journey, but alas, now I will be sticking only to my local Youngstown area stores. Perhaps these guys should take a page from their playbook on customer service and they may keep many more valuable customers such as myself in the future.

Fairly large store 'split' into two stores: The Outlet is to the left, in which items are in very large bins and slightly chaotic//overwhelming but items are charged collectively BY THE POUND! Only place I've ever seen do this! The other side has items individually priced, things on display and clothing hung on racks as you'd see in basically every other Goodwill store! Excellent cashiers//customer service within the establishment, super friendly & helpful.

It's funny when kids think they are getting toys Everytime we go here. They have a lot of good toys for a cheap price. pretty good on the clothes front. If you are looking for a good book for you or your kids you can probably find one here. If you need a bunch of rags to fill up your heavy bag just go next door and get them at the "by the pound" bulk section.

Half outlet/half retail store. Rummage through the bins first for overlooked treasure sold by the pound but do not overlook the retail store--- especially for clothing basics and home goods. I bought draperies for my whole house-- two bucks a panel.and nice ice trays. There was a ton more but I had to cut up my debit card and walk away. (I will return!)

They continue to price wares with a Sharpie instead of their normal grease pencils. I repurpose as a business and won't buy items priced with Sharpies because there is the chance I can't totally remove the price. I've had items where you can still read the price after attempts to remove. Medina today and Brunswick this week both used Sharpies on items I would have bought for my business but woudnt.
I was in the check out line a few weeks ago and lady ahead of me had a pair of shoes that were priced on the top with a Sharpie. She asked the cashier how to get the price off. Girl said anything with alcohol like hand sanitizer. She then took the hand sanitizer and couldn't get the price totally off. Customer couldn't buy the shoes because they were ruined. Dee Dee at Goodwill Corporate continues to tell me the stores have been told not to use Sharpies directly on items but they do. Waste of donated items.

This is the biggest Goodwill I've ever been to. But, for the size, it lacks a good selection. I only walked out with 5 items after 2 and a half hours. Maybe I'm too picky but I feel as though a store this roomy could offer more. Still, compared to thrift stores that overstuff their racks, this place is a relief. The prices advertised on the racks seemed high, yet when I checked out, I felt as though it was much cheaper than the signs indicated. No complaints. Bonus points for being able to freely walk in and out of fitting rooms without taking a number!

What can I say. I love goodwill. Supports a good cause. They have new things from well known stores like kohl's and target. It's fun to spend time looking around, browsing or coming to look for a specific thing. Sometimes when I can't find something in a store, I know Goodwill has it. It's always an adventure. Employees are nice and helpful. I prefer shopping at Goodwill than other places to be honest. Relaxing and no one bothers me.

One of the absolute best Goodwills I have ever been to. Walking into this place is like walking into Sears. Everything is clean, giant glass windows, miles of clothes and furniture and books and shoes and everything else. I never leave this place empty-handed. Plus, fitting rooms! One of the neatest features about this particular place is that in the back, where they process all donated items, there is an area where patrons can buy clothing by the pound and an assortment of other things that just don't fit in the main showroom. Deals abound here!

You can find designer labels at this and all Akron area Goodwill stores, including Waterloo Road, Canton Road, and State Road in Cuyahoga Falls. Many stores donate new items with the tags still attached. Each day they feature a different color "tag" on the clothes for 1/2 price. If you shop here alot, get a frequent shopper card and when you get it filled with stamps, you get 35% off your purchase. They also feature 1 day a month with 35% off your entire purchase.
