I will never apply or work for Workplace staffing again! I applied to a medical billing position. Once i went into the interview, we went over my resume. The main lady kept putting me down because i did gaps in my employment. Mind you, i had 2 knee surgeries and personal and family life had drastic changes. They said they had positions in medical billing.
It was a few hours later, and they stated the job was filled. They are very rude, unprofessional. When i did find and would go to interview alone, they really went off the deep end. Very rude. Hopefully they will take a workshop on communication, honesty, and empathy.

I recently lost my job, and have just started looking for another one. I applied to multiple places on Indeed, and Allison reached out to me. I had an interview set up for a place in Portage lakes, by where I live. Just because I had one interview set up didn't mean I was going to stop my job search. Allison was not allowed to disclose the name of the company my interview was for.
I began to call around where I live asking if places were hiring, and explained my situation and background with them. Soon after, I received a voicemail from Allison stating that I "burned a bridge" by contacting that company my interview was for directly, even though I was clueless as to who it was. In the voicemail, Allison was very unprofessional and and kept saying "uhm" several times. Saying in the email that " unfortunately we received a call from our client letting us know that you contacted her directly.
She is very unimpressed, as am I. I thought I did a very good job explaining to you how we worked as an agency and sadly, you have burned a bridge not only with us, but also with our client. Our interview on Wednesday at 9am is cancelled. We do not with to move forward with you and neither does our client. Thanks, Allison Halasa" "We do not with to move forward"?
I'm pretty sure as a hiring service you should make sure your grammar is correct. Just a heads up as to how rude they are, and unprofessional. Will be spreading the word on this one.

As a first-time user of a job placement agency, I was extremely pleased with the courteous, kind, and professional treatment from Laura, Kerry, Allison, and Makenzie, each and every time I needed to have interaction with them. That being said, those times were few and far between simply because their instructions were clear, I never had any issues with getting paid, and I was hired by the company upon completion of the time specified! I highly recommend this agency. They are top notch! Thank again for your dedication, kindness, and professionalism!

I have had nothing but problems with this temp agency, from late paychecks to non- communication. Now that it is Tax season, I have sent e-mails and called into the facility. They did not respond to my e-mail and when I called in I was told they have till the 31st. Which did not answer my question of how they are sending the W-2s. This company has very poor communication skills and lacks professionalism.

Mr. Medlin, As the Executive Director of WorkPlace Staffing, we are sorry you did not receive the answer you were hoping from us. The first time you let us know that you were disappointed, I called you right back and left a voice message for you, with no reply. Our ads are meant to draw as many applicants as possible, so that we can screen the top matches for our clients, which is common for all employers to do.
That does not mean you are not qualified or not a match, you may just not be the top match. Some clients are very particular and that is exactly why they pay us a fee to screen for them. Sometimes our counselors will have you fill out the application and run your information by the client to see if there is an interest before making you come in for an interview with us.
I feel we are very sensitive to those that are unemployed if we have any hesitation. We do not want to waste anyone's time making them get dressed up, waste gas and more, to come in for an interview, only for them not to get picked. The counselor was trying to help you. We certainly do not have quotas on how many applications are filled out. We at WorkPlace put your resume in front of a client. That client made the decision that you were not the right person for their job. It is disappointing and discouraging and we understand but, we do not control the decision.
