I basically trained myself. The trainer Leslie Lundberg is a horrible human being who picks and chooses who she likes. I did pass only one of the certifications. 4 certifications in a very short period of time. Most people are not able to get a 4. It was a waist of $9000 I could have spent somewhere else. The people that worked there(trainers and office manager) kept mentioning what do the students care their not paying for this.
But the thing is I could of choosen to use that $9000 anywhere I wanted. I choose to use it at this horrible place. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Use it at a legitimate school not this place.

Luis and the National Able Network will waste your time. And in the end you got no job training, no job, no career, no direction, no life. They make you buy transcripts from whatever school(s) you went to before and don't even use it constructively. Luis and NAN like to waste your money and time. The investors and capital venture are fools who support National Able Network in the form of donations.
Public organizations and local government supporting them are the very same fools who don't know about National Able Network and how they are a total joke. I know because I wasted six months of my life with National Able Network all for nothing!

National Able Network is disappointing on all levels. You would think that an organization that puts itself up to be helpful to those of us who are experiencing age discrimination in our employment searches would be better. I wasted bus fare going to an informational meeting that didn't last the full time it was scheduled to run. What was given to people could have been sent via email or via the post office.
I also wasted money faxing information that could have brought to that meeting if I had been told in advance to have it with me. I called a few times to get a response back, but I never received a reply. I did gain more frustration on top of what I already deal with being an older worker in a marketplace that does not value people like me. Thanks for nothing, National Able.

National Able Network is a place for seniors to help enable them to reenter the job market. It is a network that requires a lot of patience. I waited for over 2 years to be called for an informational session. But if you are looking to get back into the job market and need to retool old skills or learn new ones, they are the people you need to call.

The best way to sum up this company is that they blew me off. They are getting paid to administer a government program and at least in my case they did not do what they are paid to do. The program I was interested in is the Senior Community Service Employment Program which is under the guidance of the Illinois Department on Aging. So far my complaint to the state has gone unanswered.
As for a response from the NAN. I received one void of fact. At least they lied to such an extreme that in the case that I find somebody who doesn't like companies being awarded contracts and not doing what they are supposed to do, it will be easy to illustrate.

As a returning vet you maybe looking for assistance with job hunting or brushing up your resume. Please take a moment to make an appt and let this place help you. When I recently relocated to Chicago I was scared and looking for help, thankfully I attended a job fair and ran into a member of the National Able Network and he sent me here. This place has computer labs, tech training and best thing of all.everyone helping and guiding you are VETS, so they know your struggle. So if you are Army, Navy, Marine, Air Force or Coast Guard and in need of help or resources. This place will not disappoint.
