You ladies are amazing and do such great work to support all of us working parents out there. THANK YOU for the assistance, help, guidance, advice and good humor. I'm a client for life! I have had an extraordinary experience with T + C. I know you have the referral fee, but there's no way I would have found such amazing employees without you.

This review is based on actual experience. I was hired through Town and Country Resources as a nanny for a family. I cannot get into anymore details due to confidentiality. AVOID. NANNIES. AVOID. Long story short, THEY DO NOT HAVE YOUR BACK. After they place you with an employer they get their paycheck and then your are left to fend for yourself. If you are reading this town and country resources: I do not want an apology.
I want you to understand how unethical you treat your nannies and how mistreated I feel by your company. To be a nanny you have to have a huge heart and you do a HORRIBLE job at caring for people who care for children.

Avoid. Two nannies that both were not good. One that I used for 5 hours said my baby spit up 5 oz of formula. She never does that so I was completely baffled. The other nanny I used for two weeks was odd. She ate food. Fine. But she didn't watch my baby. I worked from home one day and came down stairs to my baby taking food out of the bowl. The nanny was in the kitchen not paying attention. Then, the last day she was here she went outside at 3:08pm (I have cameras outside of the house) so I text her asking if my baby was asleep. Nanny said she was awake.
I looked at notes written by nanny. She wrote down that baby woke up at 3:04pm. Yet she went to her car at 3:08pm. I came inside and she put objects in front of cat bowls. She had one job. I would never use T&C again. They took zero responsibility. They are a matchmaker. That's it.

I have used T&C twice and it came to show, that once I knew exactly what my household needed, that everyone at T&C was able to excel and find the right housekeeper. The interview regarding what I was looking for was very thorough and there was not a second I felt my expectations were unreachable. Everything was facilitated with ease and sincere care. I can confidently say that through T&C I was able to find a housekeeper that will hopefully be part of my household for 10+ years!

I thought that Town and Country was very excellent in helping us find a house keeper. The first candidate I selected wasn't exactly what I expected, but they were quick to help me find a replacement. The second house keeper is fantastic and I appreciated that they were quick to help me find her. I thought their process was fast and that they had a large candidate pool to choose from.

We had a fantastic experience with Town & Country. After our arrangement with another agency fell through (due to medical issues), Town & Country found us a newborn care specialist last-minute--and she was AMAZING! Completely changed our lives for the better. In addition, when we had a family emergency on a night our nanny had off and was unavailable, Town & Country found us a replacement that same day! Every nanny we've hired through Town & Country has been amazing, and their staff is super warm and responsive!

Where to start. I walked in this morning yes this morning! bad bad first impression the lady in the reception area was on the phone talking about a nanny very rude i don't know who she was talking to but she was talking in a bad way about that nanny; I stood there and she continued she did not greet me at all after a good 4 minutes she whispered and asked if i was the person for 11am appt i said yes and she said nothing.
I sat down and waited then a lady came to reception area and walked me to an interview room. I've been a nanny for 9 years with SAME family yes it has been part time from 2pm to 7pm and that seem to be a problem. I have many other experiences with 2 other families working in the mornings from 8am to 12pm usually after that I would go to my regular job 2-7pm and I also have units in ECE she did not care about that because I have never been full timed employed I was not an ideal candidate to even apply.are you serious? she left the room and came back to tell me they can't process my application because families won't be interested in meeting with me because of my lack of experience in full time. LOL.
I think as an "opportunity resources" so called agency they are they should've continued my application and it would be up to the families if they wanted to interviewed me or not. Based on the reviews here on yelp they probably do this on porpuse so they can charge the families while they "try to find the right candidate" They should stop posting ads on craigslist and care.com because I have all the qualifications with 9 years of experience childcare units CPR certified etc and they did not want to offer me a change to even apply. Families please stay away and don't give this place your business they do not care about families nor nannies!

They have a decent candidate pool. When selecting a nanny they become very aggressive about starting them quickly in order for them to get paid 18% for full time or over 30% for part time. Very sales oriented a la pay me now. Very pushy & uncomfortable. Then they charge you without notice or invoice. They will take commission on a full year salary even when your nanny might not even make it to a year due to their own personal circumstances.
They placed a great nanny with us full time, although she did smoke. After 10 months she left us to move out of the country. I am stuck paying T&C a full commisison (almost $7000) with no refund, have no help and am forced to start the process over after less than a year. I wouldn't recommend using them until all other resources are exhausted.

I have only wonderful things to say about this agency: I've been working with T&C for over 20 years. For over the years, T&C have placed me with wonderful families which they became my close friends. T&C has always had a very professional team that really understands client/candidate needs to make the perfect match!

The Town and Country Resources staff always do such an amazing job at finding me the best positions available. They really take the lead in ensuring that the job is not only a good fit for both the clients and job seeker, but that every single detail is attended to. I've been with them for nearly three years now and plan on continuing the relationship.
I give the staff 5 stars. Always a pleasure to talk with and work with. I definitely recommend them for any job seeker in the private industry looking for a great placement and a great placement agency. Two thumbs up!

After obtaining work with families for several years (always on a part-time basis) through friends, I was approached by T & C about a full-time job for a maintenance technician. The interview process for that position went very smoothly; a few weeks later, I was full-time temporary, and after three months, I am now full-time permanent with that family.
All that was presented was represented accurately, or as accurately as privacy concerns would allow. Several co-workers over the past four years obtained their positions through T & C as well.

I do want to thank them for helping us find Mary. She is truly a wonderful person, has bonded with the kids, shares the same values and enthusiasm for being with them as we do, is a self-starter and has really ramped up and learned so much in a short time. I feel lucky to have found her through this company and I thank their team for working so hard to find us someone that would be a great fit for our family.

I've used T&C for the past 2.5 years specifically for short-term back up care when our nanny has been sick or on vacation. We've probably worked with a dozen different nannies over this time. I give 5 stars to Melissa Seevers who handles the placements. She is incredibly responsive, reliable and professional. I can't say enough good things about working with her.
I gave 4 stars because they are pricey. But absolutely worth it when you're in a bind. Overall the quality of the nannies has been good, including a couple of superstars.

I am writing this review because I really believe and stand by this agency. I am a professional nanny, a previous preschool teacher, and assistant director. I was registered at the Palo Alto office and the San Francisco office. Both facilities worked so diligently to find me my new forever family. I have had previous experience with other agencies but, Town and Country Resources goes above and beyond.
I could go on and on.but, I will leave you with this. If I was a parent, this would be the agency for me. As a nanny, there is no better team to be working with. If I could give more than 5 stars. I WOULD! Thank you again Town and Country Resources!

I have never felt strongly enough about anything to take the time to write a review. Unfortunately, my experience with Town and Country has left me reeling, confused and angry enough to do so. First let me say that I have used two of their nannies, both of which have been hard working. However, please be aware that the agency is designed for people with a lot of money and not a lot of time.
They will make you sign a contract that doesn't protect either you or your nanny, it is merely a way for the agency to make more money off of you. My nanny and I both signed a contract, after 10 months, my nanny quit to go back to school. When I was ready to hire a replacement nanny T&C sent me a bill for a $3,000.00 "nanny reassignment fee." Apparently, even if your nanny breaks the contract YOU are still the one who pays the large fee to start a new search. I highly suggest you look elsewhere.

The best! I am writing to highly recommend Town and Country Resources. I am presenting the other side as a candidate who came to Town and Country looking for work. I have been a professional domestic employee in various positions over the last 10 years. I have dealt with many different agencies and have to say Town and Country was the best one I have ever worked with.
It was shocking to me how unprofessional some of the agencies were in their hiring process. Town and Country Resources was very professional and worked extremely hard for me and the families I interviewed with. They lined up several interviews for me and every one I met with was a perfect fit for what I was looking for. I feel they do an excellent job taking the time to make sure the fit would be right for both parties.
There is a difference between agencies that place babysitters (that they call nannies) and an agency like Town and Country Resources who place Career Domestic Employees. To the people who wrote negative reviews about how much they charge or how much they pay their candidates.you get what you pay for. Don't contact a professional agency and say you want a nanny if you really are only willing to pay for a babysitter.
There is a difference. If you're new to the process, educate yourself on the domestic employment world or ask them to explain it to you. I have no doubt they can help both job seekers and employers find exactly what they are looking for.

Absolutely amazing! They have helped our family so many times! Melissa and her group have set us up with babysitters on the same day we needed them! And they are always so very professional and our son has had a great time with each one. What would we do without them? Have no idea and don't want to find out. Any time you need help for your children, temporary or permanent, we absolutely recommend them. And we've been lucky enough to use their services for three years now.

While I haven't used T&C for 6 years, and I believe they tried their best, I encountered the following: 1. Excellent live in nanny who quickly proved to have issues with: a. addicted to prescription medications for which she lacked prescriptions. Let herself run out and was utter mess when I arrived home. Her behavior and competency proved to vary widely even when on medications. b. low self image: slept-around a lot.
In our house. 2. Temporary sitter - came home to weeping child locked out of house by the nanny. The temp. continued to harangue me, as I attempted to calm down child, telling me in a very injured way that my 4 year old "interrupted her" too much. She wouldn't stop complaining which wasn't helping the child to calm down so finally I told her she needed to leave immediately and we'd settle up later. 3. Nanny employed through them was called with offer to take a different full-time position by same agency after partial refund period had expired and while she still lived with us and worked for us. Nanny was very happy live-in so she'd not contacted them. 4.
Other nannies were temps, some quite competent, some less so but didn't fare as badly as the first 2 above. The net net is you have to do your own thorough checking. It is tough to be a perfect nanny agency. You'll create some perfect connections and some will not work out. The obligation to ensure the person is right fit and doing what's needed is up to the parent.
