Brian Steffan is one of the best recruiters I have ever worked with-and I have worked with many. He was fun, responsive, generous with his time, perceptive and encouraging. He gave me helpful feedback on resume writing, interview techniques, and whatever else he thought would improve my chances. He passed along extensive information that he had about the company, the job, the boss and the interviewer.

His interview prep was second to none-even Amazon's. And unlike most recruiters, I felt like he actually cared about placing me in a job that would be a goid fit for me and them. That is extremely rare in an industry where potential employees are often treated as little more than a number. If I am looking for a job in the future, Brian will be my first phone call.

I contacted Brian for assistance in finding a new job. He said he would love to work with me and asked me to email him my resume. I did, but one week later had not received a reply. I called him to ensure he had received it. He said he didn't know, "Let me check my email. Oh yeah, there it is. Your resume looks great! Hang tight and I'll contact you again soon." Two weeks later and nothing.

I call him back. "I emailed you some opportunities, " he says. "Better check your spam folder." There was no email. He said he emailed me but the fact is he did not. I never heard from him again. Judge for yourself if that is the kind of "professional" you would like to work with.
